Following on from my introduction post of Rose Inc Beauty, which featured a blend of base and skincare products; read HERE; I wanted this post to be all about their color products only

CHEEK & LIP CREAMS

I mentioned this cheek/lip cream formula in my previous Rose Inc post, however I now have 2 other colors:

their best-selling shade Azalea which is a warm berry; my personal favorite Anemone which is a warm coral; and Heliotrope – which looked more like a mauve/tan on their site, but ended up being a cool toned pink

The formula looks like mousse in the pan, however it’s super creamy and almost balm-like when you break through the surface. It’s definitely more rich in finish than the airy texture of their cream bronzer, but I guess that’s a given because this formula doubles up as lip color too.

With that in mind, the cheek/lip colors definitely feel slightly tacky to the touch even after they settle. When I wear this formula with the Rose Inc tinted serum (or any other light formula where I don’t typically set with powder), it has a beautiful radiant finish.

But with regular foundations, I feel the need to dust over it lightly with translucent powder, or powder blush of the same shade just to set it all in place.

The #2 blush brush (featured in my cover photo) is perfect for application, as the size and the slanted shape provide great control of color placement, and the duo-fibre tips help distribute the color with ease.

SATIN LIP COLOR

I love a satin finish lipstick which wears off nicely. No patches, no lines, no melting off. It looks beautiful when applied, and it looks even better as it wears off. This formula is exactly that!

Available in 10 shades ranging from cool nudes to deep berries, the formula is almost like skincare for the lips. Containing nourishing ingredients such as squalene and hyaluronic acid, this lipstick provides just enough color and hydration.

As per the claims, it also blurs lines giving the lips a plumper look. Win-win!

Rose Inc Satin Lip Color – Hypnotic & Poetic

I got the shades Hypnotic – which is a warm copper/coral, and Poetic which again looked more of a warm coral on their website but actually looks and applies with a pink undertone.

The lipsticks come as refills, as the brand is big on clean, sustainable ingredients and materials.

***I looked at plenty of swatches of the shade Poetic both in photos and videos and unless it’s the difference in lighting that affected the results, some people seem to have the shade I have, and others have the warm coral color reflected on their website – which is what I “thought” I was getting. So be mindful of this if you decide to purchase this shade.

SOLAR INFUSION SOFT-FOCUS CREAM BRONZER

The formula of this bronzer is gorgeous! It’s a smooth creamy consistency and diffuses to a light satin finish when blended. I wouldn’t say it feels like cream-to-powder formulas which typically contain diamethicone, but it’s also not an emollient/sticky cream finish either.

The color Kauai is the second shade out of the 4 currently released, which is the closes to my NC30/35 skin tone with warm undertones. If you’re after a bronzer that can also double up as contour, you can definitely opt for the deeper shades. The formula is buildable so you’ll have plenty control to how light or intense you want the color to be

Rose Inc Solar Infusion Soft Focus Cream Bronzer in Kauai

I use this bronzer on top of my regular tints and foundations and it blends flawlessly, without any build up or patches. I had the product on my skin up to 8hrs and it held up really nicely, without breaking apart. There was a little loss of intensity at the end of the day but nothing to be considered a problem for me.

Along with the cream bronzers, Rose Inc also launched a range of cream highlighters. The formula is slightly more creamy than the bronzer, but leaves a gorgeous sheen – no chunky sparkles.
