Wild Flower

by Sarah

I think I touched on this topic in one of my previous fashion sets but mixing different textured fabrics ad prints can be quite tricky. It’s important to catch a good balance between prints and colors and textures so that the whole look is in perfect harmony.

This is one of those sets. In general, the look is very late spring/summer but the addition of a leather panel skirt gives the outfit a solid structured feel. The trick to making this otherwise autumn/winter feel leather panel skirt for a summery look is in the style. It’s not a fitted pencil or a maxi skirt and the subtle pleats give it a more playful look. I also wanted to mix prints – I know…I’m a total rebel this time :)) So to complement the tiny pop of orange within the floral blouse, I matched a pair of heels with orange and leopard print.

This is to give you an example that you can mix textures and prints and still have a perfectly harmonious look, so don’t be afraid to experiment…you’ll never know when your next signature outfit will be born ;)

If you have any questions regarding the pieces in this set, please leave a message in the comments section below ;) xx
