The Ultraviolet Edge

by Sarah

I love makeup, I love makeup products but what I love even more is brands that have a strong ethical stand, which are socially responsible and are using their platform of success to reach beyond just selling makeup.

Though already known for their stance in supporting and inspiring women, Urban Decay Cosmetics recently launched The Ultraviolet Edge, which is a global initiative to help empower women around the world.  Coupled with a mission to recognise women who embody their outlook and stand united with their personal views on such campaigns, they teamed up with Gwen Stefani.

With a plan to donate $500,000 in their first year alone, to variety of organisations such as WGEF – Women’s Global Empowerment Fund; Urban Decay released a limited edition version of one of their most popular products to help kick start this great initiative.

100% of the purchase price of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Enigma will go towards funding The Ultraviolet Edge.

The Enigma Primer Potion is $20 and currently available on the Urban Decay website

Glossy Web Buttons

Enigma is a neutral matte eyeshadow base which is designed to smooth and even out skin tone on the eyelids. It also helps eyeshadows adhere better to the skin preventing creasing or moving, making them long wearing.

I commend Urban Decay for pairing up their most loved product and going all the way with donating 100% of the sales to fund this cause.  If you’re already a fan of Urban Decay primer potions, you’re almost out of your favorite primer, or like me you’d simply prefer to get a great product and know that the proceeds are going towards helping those in need, this is the perfect time to get involved.

Hope you’re all having a great day!! xx

It’s great when companies get involved in charities like this. Gwen Stefani is a great choice too.
