Summer Fridays Masks

And then there were three!

Summer Fridays is growing at a crazy pace, both in business sense and popularity. The indie brand just launched their new R+R Mask, to accompany the already best selling Jet Lag and Overtime Masks

So, what are these magic masks, why are they so popular, and which mask (if not all) is the right one for you? Lets take a look…

ABOUT THE BRAND

Summer Fridays is founded by the very popular social media influencer Marianna Hewitt and her business partner Lauren Gores.

I’ve been following Marianna since her very early days where she had more of a blog/Youtube presence; until Instagram came along.

One thing that always kept me interested in Marianna’s content has been her style, taste and consistency – especially when it comes to quality. I’ve never seen her promote or put her name on a product that was “less than” or outside of her personal expectations. And that made me relate and appreciate her transparency – especially in a world of sponsored content where lines get pretty blurred about what’s real and what’s #ad

So when she announced that she and her business partner were launching a brand with only one product, I knew it would be something that a lot of thought, research and meticulous attention went into…because…Marianna. I also knew it would create quite a buzz.

And lo and behold, not only did that single product, the Jet Lag Mask, blow up on social media, but the cosmetics giant Sephora snapped it up and put it in their stores.

To add to the appeal, Summer Fridays products are also within Sephora’s “Clean Approved” list as they contain clean, natural ingredients, completely free of parabens, sulphates, synthetic dyes or chemicals; they’re cruelty free and vegan…and made in the US!

JET LAG MASK ($48)

The highly Instagram-able, OG blue tube that started it all!

Jet Lag Mask is pretty much a “miracle in a tube” for dehydrated, dull, stressed skin – which typically happens on flights when our skin becomes dry and sallow; or when we’re…jet lagged; or any other time really.

This mask is designed to combat all those undesirable skin issues. It really is a “do-it-all” product which plumps the skin, hydrates, rejuvenates and adds a beautiful glow to boot.

The most incredible thing about the Jet Lag Mask is its versatility. It can be used as a 10-minute mask; an overnight mask; a daily moisturizer; primer or spot treatment; including the eye area.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

I’m on my second tube of Jet Lag Mask and it’s become somewhat of a saviour on days where I need an instant boost. And it delivers every…single… time. Love this mask!

Jet Lag mask contains Chestnut Extract which polishes away dullness so the skin looks radiant, healthy and well rested; Vitamin C which is a powerful anti-oxidant that brightens the skin and boosts hydration; and Niacinamide which is a Vitamin B3 compound that reduces pores, uneven skin and fine lines

OVERTIME MASK ($44)

After the huge success of Jet Lag Mask, the bar was set pretty high and people were wondering what product the brand would drop next.

And, again, in true Marianna and Lauren fashion, the launch of Overtime Mask did not disappoint.

With a delicious pumpkin pie scent that exudes out of the tube as soon as the lid comes off, Overtime Mask puts the focus on the clarity and radiance of the skin.

Combination of pumpkin and apricot seed powder gives this mask gentle yet powerful exfoliating properties which sloughs away dead skin cells, promotes circulation and brightens the skin.

Summer Fridays Overtime Mask

Overtime Mask can be used twice a week, applied and massaged into the skin in circular motions (avoiding the eye area); left on for 10-15 minutes to soak in all the nourishing vitamins and rinsed off. Delicious!

Overtime Mask contains Pumpkin plus Vitamins A, C and K which exfoliates, brightens and hydrates the skin; Apricot Seed Powder to sweep away dead skin cells; Oat Kernel Powder which is an anti-inflammatory to soothe and soften the skin; and Vitamin E to nourish.

R+R MASK ($52)

And introducing the latest, newest mask to join the Summer Fridays line…the R+R Mask

Described as a 2-in-1 product, the R+R Mask buffs the skin bright, before soothing it with restorative natural oils. The word “glow” keeps coming up in all the PR material for this mask.

The key ingredient in this mask is rose…Bulgarian rose to be exact, which is possibly the highest grade, most precious rose oil available.

As Overtime Mask hits you with a mouth watering pumpkin pie scent, expect the R+R Mask to transport you to a field of roses…in Bulgaria maybe?

Summer Fridays R+R Mask

R+R Mask can be used any time your skin needs that instant radiance and nourishment.

It’s massaged into the skin (avoiding the eye area), left on for 10mins and the excess wiped away. You’ll be left with the residue of all the nourishing oils from the mask, which you can then massage into the skin for that rosy glow.

R+R Mask contains Bulgarian Rose for its luxurious scent; Argan Oil which repairs the skin, reduces dark spots and hydrates; Rose Flower Powder which gently polishes the skin helping the cells replenish faster; A combination of Safflower, Sesame, Avocado and Grape Seed Oils which are packed with nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants to nourish the skin.

ALL AND ALL…

I really enjoy watching indie brands succeed; because I know their main focus is quality over quantity.

And as with most indie brands, Summer Fridays products are carefully curated on all fronts – including performance, ingredients, inclusivity, visual appeal and of course doing it whilst also being mindful of the environment and our furry friends. And that makes me feel good about supporting them.

No matter what your skin needs are, Summer Fridays now has plenty of star products to choose from.

If you’ve never tried a Summer Fridays mask before, or you’re a die-hard fan excited to get your hands on the latest R+R Mask, you can fill your cart right HERE

Totally agree Mandy! It’s become a staple on my trips. I don’t get that horrible dry lifeless skin on the plane anymore.

I have the Jetlag mask and I love it. I didn’t get Overtime cos I use another daily exfoliant. The new one looks really nice but I have oily skin. I don’t know if it’ll break me out.
