Gucci Cosmetics

by Sarah

Couple of weeks ago, I announced the upcoming launch of Gucci Cosmetics on my Facebook page. Well…the wait is over as the products are now available to purchase on the Gucci website here; Neiman Marcus here and Saks stores here*Neiman Marcus and Saks offer international shipping options on certain products, check their shipping section for details.

I must admit, I was very surprised with the number of products Gucci has released at their very first introduction into the cosmetics world. Usually high end designer brands will start off with a select capsule of beauty products and expand the range from there but Gucci practically launched ‘everything’ all at once.

Here’s a sneak peak of the line that I categorised to make it a tad bit easier for you guys…

Gucci Cosmetics

Charlotte Casirgahi as face of Gucci Cosmetics

Inspired by Gucci’s fashion archives and runway shows, the color palette in general is very glamorous. Sparkling eyeshadows and eyeliners with rich hues of browns, golds and teals; countless shades of creamy red lipsticks and nail polish and even colored mascaras make up this very luxurious collection. They haven’t stopped there and also released skincare, primers and brushes to complement the full range of foundation, powder and concealers. It’s a ‘big’ line.

Gucci Makeup Brushes

Wheww!! As you can see, without even going into each and every single color option, Gucci has pretty much covered everything we could need in a cosmetics line. The prices aren’t too unreasonable considering the name. Packaging is just enough with the famous Gucci logo embossed into the powder products which is a nice touch.

I haven’t personally had a chance to test the products myself but I’ve read the initial reviews and the feedback is quite positive in terms of texture, quality and color payoff of the products featured. The rest is all about deciding what to get…oh and what color ;)

What do you guys think of the new Gucci Cosmetics line? Would you purchase any items?

Sarah you have no idea how easy you made this for me. I went on Gucci site twice and got so confused with all the products. I really want a red lipstick but I didn’t even realise there were 2 different formulas until I read your post. Thanks a million. Off to do some shopping now! :)

My pleasure Amanda, glad I could help. I know what you mean, the product range is crazy. I was just as confused when I went on their site. Let me know what you pick up and what you think of it…and of course, enjoy it :) xx

I am loving the mascara color options! The midnight blue would be a great way to spice up a night out look! I’m a lash & lip kind of girl, so my first picks would be the mascara and lip gloss! Let me know if you try any of these products out! :)

definitely Sydney! The teal mascara is so unique, it would look beautiful with a soft gray smokey eye. I’m hoping to check the colors of this line out in person and if I buy anything, I will definitely do a full review with swatches ;) xx
