Dior Rosy Glow blushes need no introduction, as they went viral quite a few times over.

However, there are some new additons to the existing color range and some important changes to note…

Dior Rosy Glow Blushes

blushes were initially part of Dior’s more casual, more affordable Dior Backstage range. Along with many hit products, they released 2 blushes Coral and Pink which became hot commodities thanks to TikTok.

So when Dior recently launched 4 new shades of the Rosy Glow blushes, it was a given they’d be snatched up just as quickly.

THE COLORS

There are now 6 shades of Dior Rosy Glow Blushes: Coral, Pink, Rosewood, Cherry, Berry and Mahogany

I already had the original two, 001 Pink and 004 Coral which I’ve been enjoying since their initial launch.

And I just got the 012 Rosewood and 015 Cherry shades as they’re more complimentary to my skin tone. How pretty are they all?!

Coral is so much more subtle than its name. I would describe it as a fuzzy peach that adds a warm hue to the cheeks
Pink is a true bubblegum which leaves a soft airy hint of color on the cheeks. It’s a really unique shade
Rosewood is a muted pink, but it has the prettiest warm undertone that would cater for so many different skin tones
Cherry is my personal favorite with a stunning vibrant coral/red color
Berry is a deep purple/pink. Perfect for deeper skin tones but a light wash of it would also work for lighter skin tones
Mahogany is a true chocolate, again, great for deeper skin tones. It can also be used as a contour/bronzer shade for lighter skin tones

APPLICATION and WEAR

blushes are definitely more in the “buildable” category, than super intense, high-pigment blushes. This makes it very easy to control how much product is applied, how sheer or intense you prefer your look to be.

The powders are very finely milled so they provide a smooth, airbrushed finish.
*Pink and Coral are slightly more sheer than the rest of the colors.

The finish has a beautiful sheen, which is true to the name Rosy Glow, as they add a touch of dimension to the cheeks.
*There is no visible shimmer or glitter, just a soft satin finish.

The formula is also “skin adapting”, which changes with the chemistry of each person’s skin. So although you’re getting the shade in the pan, it’ll also transform into the best version for YOUR skin tone.

If you wear these on their own, as in with no base products, you’ll see that they’ll leave a soft stain behind too. This makes them long wearing.

EXTRAS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

With the addition of the new colors to the blush line, there are also some major changes that came about with them…

The Rosy Glow Blushes, including the existing Pink and Coral shades have been reformulated.
Actually, Dior is reformulating most of their products, as they’re now becoming a “clean brand”.
For this reason, the Rosy Glow blushes no longer contain talc and the ingredient is list also much shorter

Whilst we welcome such a change, the reformulation did affect the existing shades Pink and Coral. And unfortunately I’m seeing and hearing the same complaint that the new formula is more sheer – both in terms of finish and vibrancy of the color.

I know this is an issue only because we have previous versions to compare the new versions to. However, if you’d still like the old formula in Pink and Coral, make sure the packaging has the Dior logo in smaller font, versus the new logo in capital letters (refer my pics above)

Another change to note is the amount of product. Whilst Dior kept the pricing of these blushes exactly the same at $40 each, the new compacts contain 4.4g of product versus 4.6g in the original version.

And lastly, the Rosy Glow blushes used to be a part of Dior’s Backstage line. They are now a part of Dior’s regular line.
*But again, no price increase so that’s good.

In fact, I believe, as Dior is reformulating all of their products, they may be superseding the Backstage line and adding all the favorite Backstage products to their regular range.

Despite all the changes, the popularity of the original blushes carried into the new launch and the Dior Rosy Glow blushes are selling like hot cakes since their release.

So if you can’t find them , please either register on the waitlist or keep checking back as they restock every few days to keep up with demand.
