Dior Forever Glow Favorites

I’ve been an avid fan of Dior makeup for some time now. With amazing quality and performance of their products, beautiful packaging; and newly formulated cleaner formulas, my makeup stash is beaming with quite a Dior collection lately

Also being a fan of glowing skin, I had to get my hands on some of the recently launched Forever Glow line of products…

Lets do a deep dive into each…

DIOR FOREVER GLOW STAR FILTER

This makeup + skincare hybrid is a tinted formula which contains illuminating particles to give the skin a “lit-from-within” natural glow.

It’s a multi-use product which can be worn on its own for an even seamless finish. It can be mixed in with foundation to add a touch of glow to it. Or it can be used as highlighter to add dimension to the face.

I adore how lightweight this formula is. It glides on like a light serum/lotion, dries down without any stick/tacky feel and gives the skin a beautiful luminous finish. Both powder and liquid products layer perfectly over it too. This has fast become my go-to, especially on days where I want a healthy even finish without wearing foundation. I add a bit of concealer where needed; a coat of mascara and a pop of liquid blush and I’m good to go.

There are 10 shades in total. I have shade No:3 which is perfect for my medium skin tone.

***The illuminating particles and the sheer finish makes this product quite flexible so I believe a shade up or down would also work fine.

Dior Forever Glow Star Filter No:3

***This product is being compared to Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter. Whilst the concept is the same, the formulas are quite different. I’ve used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter for many years. Although I love it too, I always found the formula quite thick and heavy. In fact, I can never use it more than couple of days in a row as it breaks me out. The finish is also very different. Dior Star filter has a softer, more natural glow; whereas Charlotte Tilbury is more of a metallic finish which can look quite intense – especially for those with textured skin or bigger pores.

I fell in love with the Dior formula as it delivers everything I expect from such product with the added benefit of skincare. Highly recommend!

DIOR FOREVER GLOW MAXIMIZER

Confession: I had no intentions of getting this product. Not because I didn’t think it was amazing, but because I found the color component to be “too mild” for what I needed; a liquid blush/highlighter hybrid to be exact.

But then I swatched the shade Rosy…which is the second color in this range (along with Bronze) to have the most color payoff.
I’m typically not into pink tones but upon testing Rosy, I noticed that it has more of a warm undertone which adds a gorgeous flush of peachy-rose to the cheeks.

I use this as a liquid blush as it gives me plenty of color.  And the illuminating particles add dimension so I skip the highlighter and only use this one product to do both!

The formula is very similar to the Star Filter. Lightweight, applies flawlessly and dries down to a seamless finish.

***As mentioned, other than Rosy and Bronze, all other shades have a very soft hue of color which don’t make a huge difference in the end result when used as a highlighter. So if you buy the Star Filter for its multi-use feature and use it as a liquid highlighter, I don’t think you would necessarily need the Glow Maximizer for the same purpose

DIOR FOREVER NATURAL GLOW BRONZER – Limited Edition

Last product I picked up from this launch is the powder bronzer. I cannot explain, nor do justice via photos or videos to how stunning this compact is in person. It could be empty and I would still pick it up…that’s how much of a sucker I can be for packaging at times

But lucky for me, it’s not empty and houses an equally stunning embossed bronzer inside

It’s marketed as a 3-in-1 due to having a matte bronzer, a strip of blush and a strip of shimmer bronzer BUT, these sections are far too small to pick up with a brush individually so I’ll have to disagree with it being a 3-in-1 product. Swirling a fluffy brush over the surface combines all components to a beautiful warm bronzer with a natural sheen

***The colors run quite warm so if you prefer deeper, cooler toned bronzer (to double up as contour), these would be way too warm.
The shades also get a bit confusing at first. There are 4 colors but technically 2 shades. The matte bronzer component comes in Light or Dark.
The 2 light colors have either Coral or Pink strip of color. The 2 dark colors , have Peachy or Rosy strip of color within

I’m super happy with all three products I picked up and highly recommend them all. Can’t go wrong with effortless, practical products which deliver incredible results. Big thumbs up!

Products range between $45 – $55 USD and can be purchased HERE

Let me know if you picked up any products from this range; or what you would like to try! xo

Just the packaging alone on all of these is divine.
I might need to try out the Forever Glow as an alternative to the Hollywood Flawless Filter which I also find really thick.
