The creator of red-bottom shoes and more recently a stunning line of nail polish which launched him into the world of beauty, Christian Louboutin has just announced the release of his new lipstick line. And of course in typical Louboutin fashion, it’s definitely not like any other lipstick we’ve ever seen.
Inspired by the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, the collection will feature 38 colors in 3 different finishes: silky satin, velvet matte and sheer voile. The design is what really sets these lipsticks apart as they’re cased in black and gold ‘vile-like’ tubes which are adorned with crowns and intricate designs. They also have a loop on the lid, so to be worn as a necklace – whether you feed a ribbon around it or attach it to your chains.
Launching on the Christian Louboutin website in September, each lipstick is priced at $90. I know…it sounds crazy but this is a case of designer fashion meets beauty. And if the quality and variety of the Louboutin nail polish line is anything to go by, maybe a matching red lipstick to the signature Rouge Louboutin nail polish might not be such a bad treat right? :)
I will update you guys on further details and exact release dates and store availability as soon as I get more information.
Hope you’re all having a great day!! xx

[…] beauties, I did an intro post on Christian Louboutin’s new lipstick line here last month and for those of you awaiting a launch date, I’m happy to announce you can now […]
I got the Rouge Louboutin nail polish as a gift and I would love the matching lipstick but $90 is hard to part with for one lipstick.
Another gift maybe? The line will be launched before Xmas…is all I can hint lol
I think my heart just stopped!!!!!!! I can’t afford it but they look gorgeous! Dying to see the colors now.
Hi Diana, I’m just as excited about the color range. I’ll share it as soon as they’re revealed ;)
What…..what!! Oh the packaging is so…..beautiful!! Have to pass on this one, $90 is a little steep on a lipstick, the hubby will flip, lol : )
I know right! Seeing as it doubles up as a necklace, maybe $90 for jewellery would be more justifiable – no one has to know the lipstick aspect hehee :)
