Great post! I’m looking for a paraben-free complete makeup set (check and eye palette) that has as many colour variety as possible with good quality, little fallout and lasting performance under. Not sure if the smashbox Art Love Color Masterclass contains no paragons but I’m looking into the Stila whole lot of love. Tarte’s Light of the party is too neutral for me, through the removable blush and eye travel kit is awesome.

Please help :) thanks.

Hi lovely! Stila’s Whole Lot Of Love Set was the first one that popped up in my mind too. It has a great array of colors and includes blushes too. The Smashbox palette does not specify no-parabens so I’m thinking that’s out.

I also did a search of paraben free makeup on Sephora and all the Urban Decay, Too Faced, Tarte and Kat Von D palettes are listed as paraben free. You can have a browse via this link: http://bit.ly/1SmOatK
I have the Too Faced Chocolate bar palette (both the original and the semi sweet) and I adore them both. You could consider one of those palettes with Tarte’s holiday blush palette and you’d have an amazing set there. Please let me know if you have any questions :) xx

Thanks Sarah!

I have decided to go with the Stila set because the Kat Von D is sold out at Sephora 9Canada). :( Tarte’s travel size rainforest palette with the KVD (though gigantic) would have been perfect for my lifestyle and nearly complete (lacking extra blushes)as it has a “red” eyeshadow shade. :)

But with the Stila one, I can always buy red eyeshadow tones separately. I’ve got a small set of yellow/gold and green shades already. I’m so excited to dig in!

I’m still getting the hang of makeup art. Hopefully this palette will propel me to get out of my comfort zone and get adventurous. Better late than never. :) xoxoxo

Ooh I’m so excited for you! Stila really stepped up their game with their latest products. I’m sure you’ll make the most of the palette.

If you’re after specific eyeshadow colors just to build up your collection, I would highly recommend Colourpop shadows. They’re only $5 a pot and pack an amazing amount of color. I have a detailed post on my collection with swatches if you type in Colourpop Supershock Shadows in the search bar. They just released their fall colors and there are some beautiful rich burgundy/wine shades with red undertones. Another brand to consider is Makeup Geek. They’re more the traditional powder based shadows; amazing quality and very affordable.

I hope you enjoy your new makeup and please let me know if you have any questions ;) xx

Thanks Bianca! I think the pencil set is a great deal. The gel liners are really pigmented so they last a long time. Let me know if you pick any of the sets up :)

I heard so much about the Stila liquid lipsticks, I think I’ll get this set cos it looks like they have all the main colors. Loving the MUFE eyeshadow palette too! So much to choose from *sigh

My pleasure Gen; Opal On The Go is a great little set for travel. Considering how long Becca products last, it’s perfect for the price too :)

Oh wow! Thank you Sarah! It’s been so confusing trying to follow all the collections and as always your posts come to the rescue. I really love the Tarte collections from your last post so far and the Marc Jacob ones look great too. What do you think of the Becca Afterglow palette?

thanks Emily! I’m glad these type of posts are helpful :) If you love Becca highlighters as much as I do, the palette is a great buy. I would have liked the Opal shade in there but they did a separate pack for Opal alone so I guess they didn’t want to double up. The shades in the palette are all stunning, the blush and the bronzer are cult favorites too so definite thumbs up ;)
