Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

by Sarah

Urban Decay’s  Naked Smoky Palette is here!

Following the successful releases of the previous Naked palettes, Urban Decay continues with the neutral color theme but adding a sexy and sultry twist to this new palette, featuring dark and smoky colors.

As with the previous Naked palettes, the Smoky palette also features 12 colors and a double ended eyeshadow brush. The brush has a pencil brush tip on one end to build color intensity and a fluffy brush tip on the other end to ensure perfect blending. This is a very well thought out brush duo as continually building color and blending are essential to achieving perfect smoky looks.

The packaging is truly stunning. Made of transparent acrylic, the compact has been laced with swirls of smoke design with the brand/palette name highlighted in silver. It really is a very sleek looking palette.

The finish of the shadows are prominently shimmer/glitter based, with a few matte/satin shades thrown into the mix. There’s a great variety of colors too ranging from soft neutral/gold/browns to cooler silver/grays with blue/teal undertones. And of course no smoky eye would be complete without a black, so there’s a satin finish black eyeshadow as well as a deep black purple if you still want a touch of color in there.

So whether you’d like to keep your look neutral with taupes and browns for day wear, or dial up the intensity to deep dark smoked out eyes with hints of shimmer, this palette offers great quality coupled with versatility.

Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette retails at $54 and can now be purchased HERE

Hi Sarah….hope all is well with you! I purchased this palette and I am so…glad I did. This one is a keeper, I am swooning over so many of the colors in the palette, especially that slanted color, hello…..smokey. Happy this one differs so much from the other Naked palettes because they did not work for me. Did you get one?? Love to see some looks from you if you did. Have a great weekend! : )

Hi Trisha! I agree, this palette is definitely different than the previous Naked palettes. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it :) I’m not planning on purchasing this one, only because I went “slightly” overboard with eyeshadow palettes lately lol I did however get a few requests to do a dark smoky eye tutorial and I’ll try to use similar shades from the Naked Smoky palette so you can replicate it :) Hope you have a good weekend too!! xx
