There’s only a handful of brands that I always look forward to releasing new products. Tarte Cosmetics is one of these brands, especially with their palettes – cos from the packaging, color combo to quality, they always know how to draw me in.
Two ‘highly anticipated’ palettes are now available to purchase. I placed my order for both and I’ll do a full review/swatch post as soon as I get my delivery. The Tarteist Contour Palette is limited edition; the Tartelette In The Bloom eyeshadow palette is permanent (however might sell out pretty quick), so I’ll leave the links below if you want to get your hands on them before I receive my palettes and post the review.
Tartelette In Bloom Palette $45
Get it HERE
This is the follow up to cult-favorite Tartelette palette. The original had 12 all-matte shadows which happens to be one of my favorite palettes. When I first saw this version, I was a bit skeptical thinking the colors would be similar to Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette with a lot of subtle blush and pink tones. But I’ve seen plenty of swatches since and with a good variety of neutrals and warm chocolates, it’s absolutely stunning!
It features 12 (all new) shades, including 3 shimmers so this palette gives us the option of glamming up our everyday looks. The colors are super pigmented and contains Tarte’s famous Amazonian Clay to ensure perfect blendability.
Tarteist Contour Palette $45
Tarte has jumped on the contour/highlight bandwagon with this Limited Edition palette. Featuring 6 pans of varying colors to shade and sculpt the face, I must mention the promo photo pictured here is not true to color. The contour shades in real life are more toned down with taupe/gray undertones which is why I was more drawn to it compared to other palettes on the market. You guys know my pet peeve of brands flogging off orange/warm powders as contours.
I’m yet to test this palette out to decide whether it lives up to my expectations of true highlight/contour colors but I wanted to include it in this post as it’s limited edition and you might want to get it before it sells out.
Sculpt & Slim Contour Brush $34
Last on the list is this dual ended Sculpt & Slim Contour Brush to accompany the Contour Palette. I love Tarte’s bamboo range of brushes but I gave this one a miss. I have my select favorite brushes for contouring and sculpting (see my Artis brush review HERE), but I think this is a convenient brush if you don’t already have sculpt-specific brushes in your collection.
Tarte also has a full range of new liquid lipsticks and lipliners coming up so I’ll update you as soon as they’re released. Until then, I’ll do a detailed review/swatch post of these two palettes as soon as the UPS man delivers them to me (*sits by the window already) ;)
What do you think of these new releases from Tarte?
