My must-visit section at Target is of course the makeup and beauty aisles but I particularly enjoy checking out Sonia Kashuk range. Affordability aside, Sonia Kashuk is one of those drugstore brands which can rival some high end brands in terms of variety and quality.
My absolute favorite products from Sonia Kashuk happen to be face/cheek products: Undetectable Creme Bronzer and Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo to be exact – so lets get stuck into why I love this pair so much:
Top: Undetectable Creme Bronzer in Rich Bronze #42 / Bottom: Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo in Glow #53
Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo: For starters, how gorgeous is this duo? The look of the two colors intertwined with that embossed surface is something I would expect from a really expensive high end brand.
The bronze half is a shimmering warm tan color. The shimmer component definitely stands out and of course the more you build the color, the brighter it gets. I find a fluffy blush brush does a great job in distributing the color.
The blush half looks coral in the compact but in fact it applies more pink when applied. It also has shimmer throughout but it’s more subtle than the bronzer half. You can actually mix the bronzer and the blush together to create your own shade and intensity.
Chic Luminosity Bronze/Blush Duo retails at $12.99 and comes in a “bronzer/highlight duo” as well as the “bronzer only” compact if you don’t want the blush in there. This is a perfect summer duo.
Undetectable Creme Bronzer: For those of you who may be familiar with Chanel’s Soleil Tan De Chanel cream bronzer, this release from Sonia Kashuk is known to be a very close dupe. Considering one is high end luxury product and the other a drugstore item is a great indication of the quality and innovation that goes into Sonia Kashuk products. *I included a Chanel vs Sonia Kashuk comparison at the end of the post.
As the name suggests, this is a cream product but it blends down to a silky powdery finish. The color is quite warm; it’s a true bronze/tan. *This bronzer comes in a lighter shade if you have a fairer complexion than my NC35 skin tone or prefer a softer bronzer.
The product tray lifts up to reveal a mirror underneath as well as a sponge applicator – which I never use. Being a cream texture, I find the best way to apply it is to start with a small amount, diffuse it out with a blush brush and build up as needed. I usually apply this product around the perimeter of my face and on the cheeks to warm up my face especially during summer months.
And here are all three shades swatched. The blush needs a bit more building up than the bronzers.
Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo in Glow #53 – Undetectable Creme Bronzer in Rich Bronze #42
Having both the Chanel and Sonia Kashuk cream bronzers, I can confirm other than color difference, texture wise and the way they apply are pretty much the same. *I do have the darker shade in the Sonia Kashuk so the lighter shade may very well be closer to the Chanel color.
About Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel: You get more product – this is probably one product I’ve had for ages and it still looks full. Yes it does have a luxury feel; it’s $48 and only available in one shade. Shop Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel HERE
If you know you’d only use such a product seasonally or you’d like to try a cream bronzer for the first time, the Sonia Kashuk one is a great starting point. It comes in two shades and retails at $10.99.

Sonia Kashuk range is only available at Target stores in the US. For my international beauties, ebay and Amazon usually have Sonia Kashuk products, especially with these compacts being a part of the permanent line.
