GETTING REACQUAINTED WITH AN OLD FAVORITE!

Back in the day when the cosmetics market was ruled by only a handful of brands available for general public (and nowhere near the variety offered today), there was always a strong contender holding its own spot…Revlon.

Revlon has been around since the early 1930s and although the company and its range has gone through the occasional peaks and troughs, it has managed to outlast and keep up with the latest technologies and protect its place with innovative and great quality products.

Looking back on my years of using makeup, whether personally or professionally, I have always, at one point or another, had a Revlon product in my kit.  The reason I’m still singing this brand’s praises today is the latest line of products they have on offer…which has not just me, but fans and makeup junkies all over the world jumping up and down in excitement.

Featured below are some of my current favorites in the Revlon range and the ones I managed to get my hands on are so far…FABULOUS!  You can check out upcoming product range or further information at www.revlon.com

Lets start with the lip products…

Revlon Balm Stains

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

These clever little stains have taken the makeup world by storm when they were first released.  Available in 12 shades, the magic trick of these wind-up / no sharpener needed chubby pencils, is that they have the staying power of lips stains with and added bonus of moisturising balm.  There are not many even high end brands which successfully achieved this “stay-on yet moisturise” balance of a lip product so I would say grab one as soon as you see one ;)

Revlon Lip Butters

I can never get enough of lip products, especially ones that moisturise, condition and add a hint of gorgeous color and shine.  Revlon lip butters, come in an impressive range of 20 shades – from nudes, pinks and corals to deeper shades of reds and plums, so you’ll be sure to find a shade to fall in love with.  Creamy, glossy and moisturising, either worn on their own or over lipsticks/lipliners, lip butters get a definite thumbs up from me.

One of my all time favorite line of Revlon products is the colorstay range.  I remember the campaign with Cindy Crawford back in the day and how amazed everyone was that foundation would stay on for hours and not transfer onto clothes or rub off.  And with its success, Revlon continued to excel their colorstay range of products and this addition – Colorstay Whipped Cream Makeup – is no exception.

As well as a super silky texture which is easy to blend and build for maximum coverage, it really does stay on without budging until “you” decide to take it off.   My go-to foundation when I need my makeup to last all day.

Revlon Colorstay Under Eye Concealer

Revlon Colorstay Under Eye ConcealerThis clever little clickable wand will put an end to your under eye problems, whether it’d be covering dark circles or dullness due to lack of sleep or tiredness.  With a soft and light texture and a sponge tip applicator, this concealer smooths over the delicate eye area with ease.  And as with the rest of the colorstay range, it sets and does not budge.  No more concealer caking or creasing into fine lines.  I can definitely live with that! ;)

Revlon Scented Nail Polish Revlon Scented Nail Polish

Yes you read it right: Scented Nail Polish.  Now, I’m not so sure about the fruity-perfume scent these polishes give off once dry, but the 16 color range does have some pretty sweet shades.

It might either have you sitting there sniffing at your fingernails in awe, or start a nail biting habit :))  I’ll leave it up to you whether you want to give these a try :)

What do you think of Revlon products? Do you have any favorites?

I really love the lip butters. It doesn’t feel as heavy as lipstick but stays on more than a gloss

I agree and they do give off quite a bit of color considering they’re lip butters :)
