Hi beauties! How are you all? On my very last fashion set I talked about matching bright colors and prints during fall/winter season.
Well, today I thought I’d go the complete opposite way and scale things right back down to minimal color. But of course, in typical “me fashion”, there has to be one (or five) elements to the outfit which are a stand out :)
I built this set around the ‘sweater boots’ which I think have a great balance of casual and sexy with a hint of “outdoors feel”. Pairing them with a simple knit dress shows off the boots without throwing off that balance. I also love the contrast of the hemline and sleeves on the dress which helps that “everything goes with everything” look.
I could have gone different ways with the jacket – a leather motorbike jacket could have toughened up the look, a long coat could have turned up the sexy a bit more but I wanted all the pieces to compliment each other in unison. So I found the army green waistcoat which still shows off the dress, yet staying within the color family of the boots. Since we’re only using two colors for this set, I had to throw in the off-white bag with straps…so we also match the straps of the boots around the ankles ;) Little details make a huge difference.
What 2-colors are your favorite combination? xx
