BeautyProduct Reviews NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette March 27, 2017 Hello beauties!!! I know it’s been a bit quiet around here in the past couple of weeks but rest assured I’ve been doing some investigating, trying and testing new products so I can bring you the best of the best options – amongst the flood of beauty products out there. Given 2017 started with a whirlwind of new highlighter releases, today’s post is dedicated to my personal favorite: NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette. *Scroll to the end of the post for swatch comparison of some of the most popular new highlighters right now. SHOP NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette Just to get my usual disclaimer out the way, when I’m comparing or choosing products I recommend, I take into account quality, variety, performance and value for money. At this stage, in terms of my criteria, NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette won the highlighter round hands down. This is a limited edition palette which features three different colors. It comes in a gorgeous compact with a bronze/sunset glow on the cover and each color contains 0.11oz/3.4g of product. NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette What really drew me to this palette is the fact that it has three different shades in the one compact. I’m all about practicality and customizing so having a variety of shades which I can mix and adjust in this palette is a big bonus for me. The finely milled silky texture as well as the amazing shimmering finish gives the option of a subtle glow or using the product wet (by spraying the brush with a finishing spray or water) to intensify the highlight to your liking. NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette The first color Rivage is cool toned. It looks like a soft champagne in the compact but applies as more of a silvery undertone. This is great if you have lighter skin tone; or you want to add it to your matte blushes to turn them into shimmer versions. The second color Sale is my typical favorite shade when it comes to highlighters. It’s a true champagne with a golden/peachy undertone which is universally flattering. Last color Embruns is another favorite of mine as it can be used as a highlighter for deeper skin tones; but also as a blush (or as a booster for bronzers and other blushes) for light to medium skin tones. It has a gorgeous rose gold/bronze/copper undertone. NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette – Rivage/Sale/Embruns Retailing at $49, NARS Banc De Sable palette is only one of the many…and I mean MANY new release highlighters out there which average anywhere between $30 to $60 – for one shade. Using the medium color Sale as a popular benchmark, I compared some of the other current favorite highlighters within the same color family to show you differences in texture and finish: Dior #001 Nude – Too Faced Prismatic in Gold – Natasha Denona #01 Light – NARS Banc De Sable “Sale” Dior #001 Nude has the most intense and “punchy” finish. It definitely has more “sparkle” than shimmer and although it looks slightly pink in the compact, it does apply gold with a more frosty undertone. The texture is super silky and if you prefer your highlighters more intense, you might enjoy this line which features four different colors. Retails at $56 each. Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighters come in three different shades and at $30 are the most affordable out of this lot. The heart shaped compacts and the prismatic embossing of the product is gorgeous! I just felt the formula to be slightly sheer compared to the others so you might need more product to build up intensity. Natasha Denona All Over Glow line features three shades – with my swatch being the lightest. The texture is definitely beautiful but as you can probably see at the base of the picture (in comparison to the others), it applied slightly powdery and sheer. It’s almost in between Hourglass Ambiance powders and a traditional highlighter. If you prefer your highlight to have a very subtle glow, this would be a good option. Retails at $38 each. As you can see, given the individual compacts and the average pricing, NARS Banc De Sable palette offers amazing quality, finish, performance and variety of colors in the one compact. The palette retails at $49 and can be purchased HERE SHOP THIS POST and OTHER POPULAR HIGHLIGHTERS NARS Banc De Sable / Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer / Too Faced Love Light Prismatic / Natasha Denona All Over Glow Let me know if you picked up any of the new released highlighters and what your favorite is :) NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette was last modified: March 27th, 2017 by Sarah 6 comments 2 Facebook Twitter Google + Pinterest Sarah previous post Nudestix Eyes and Lips next post Marc Jacobs Coconut Collection You may also like Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette October 11, 2016 Tarte Cosmetics – 2014 Spring Launch January 20, 2014 New Colourpop Goodies November 16, 2016 Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette December 22, 2015 Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume November 26, 2015 NARS -Nordstrom Anniversary Sale July 23, 2014 Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector March 25, 2015 Azure Eyes May 30, 2013 Sephora + Pantone Marsala Collection December 20, 2014 The Body Shop Face Masks September 20, 2016 6 comments Crystajlove July 13, 2017 at 8:16 pm Great Blog Post !! I’m a medium skin tone and I mix the first 2 colors for highlight and use the bronze as a blush. Super cute packaging too! Reply Sarah May 3, 2017 at 8:27 am Great way to utilize this palette! Reply Jessica Bryans April 28, 2017 at 4:10 pm I bought the Too Faced highlighter cos I really love the packaging but I agree with you. It’s very sheer compared to some of my other highlighters like Becca Opal. The NARS palette looks super pretty! I love they have the different colors in the same palette. Thank you for the great review. Reply Sarah April 29, 2017 at 4:26 pm Thanks Jessica! Reply Leave a Comment Cancel Reply Notify me when new comments are added.
