Minimo Skincare Pamper Session

by Sarah

I get to try so many products, yet I still get that “kid in a candy store” kind of excited with each new discovery.

Although my current skincare routine has been working wonders for me, I was really intrigued to try Minimo Skincare Glow Turmeric Skin Brightening Facial Scrub and the Eternal Anti-Aging Face Oil.

The fact that these products contain all natural and clean ingredients made my pamper session even more rewarding.

Minimo Glow Brightening Facial Scrub & Eternal Anti Aging Oil

Minimo is a niche skincare brand featuring face and body products. They concentrate on natural solutions for healthy glowing skin and have quite a few best sellers to boot.

Thanks to Minimo reaching out, I’ve now tried and tested the two products they sent me from this range. Lets delve into the details…

Minimo Glow Facial Scrub & Eternal Anti Aging Face Oil

Me, being such a sucker for any product that contains the word “Glow” in its title, I was instantly drawn to their No:1 best seller which is the Glow Turmeric Skin Brightening Facial Scrub.

With its star ingredient being turmeric, which is known for its brightening properties, this scrub also contains organic manuka honey to nourish the skin; cinnamon for its antioxidant and anti-bactrerial properties, pure cane sugar for exfoliation and a blend of camomile and abyssinian oils to hydrate and smooth the skin.

It’s marketed (and the reviews speak for themselves) as an all-in-one product for those who suffer from acne, pigmentation and acne spots. It also came with an adorable heart shaped silicon scrubber to really cleanse the skin.

I don’t have prominent spots or pigmentation issues to report whether this scrub helped lighten such areas, however it definitely lives up to its claims of giving the skin that healthy “glow”.

This scrub smells delicious! The combination of sugar, honey and cinnamon makes me crave pumpkin pie every time.
The products itself is quite thick and pasty. The sugar particles are fine enough to be gentle on the skin.

I massaged a small amount on the face in circular motions which spreads the turmeric mixture evenly across the skin. I left the product on my skin for about 5-10mins as a mask which worked really well for me.
I then used the silicon pad to remove any excess, followed by my daily cleanser.

Turmeric is known to be quite potent in color and it does leave a yellow residue on the skin. I found using a dark colored towel to dry off helps keep any color stains at bay.

Another bonus is that it can be used on the body too. So, if you suffer from dark spots or patches – especially under the arms, knees or elbows, this scrub is a great natural alternative to brighten problem areas.

The power partner to the Glow Scrub, the Eternal Anti Aging Face Oil contains an exotic blend of natural oils designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as hydrating and plumping the skin.

Admittedly, I’m personally not one for facial oils, however I also know a good oil when I see one. The absorption factor usually gives away the quality of the oils the product contains.
If it absorbs into the skin without leaving a heavy residue, it means the oils are pure and hence work well with the skin. The Eternal Oil definitely fit into this criteria.

I found the oil applied beautifully and absorbed into the skin right away. It was definitely hydrating without feeling heavy or oily. So if you’re into face oils and looking for an all natural alternative, this oil is definitely worth a try.

All in all, I’m really impressed with the Minimo products. I’m definitely keeping especially the Glow Mask at hand whenever I need a good boost to my skin, cos the ‘glowing’ results were pretty much instant with each use.

Minimo Glow Turmeric Brightening Facial Scrub retails at $13.95 and Eternal Anti-Aging Face Oil is $24.95

I love your posts! Does the scrub feel harsh? I have sensitive skin and it’s always an issue.
