Michael Kors Beauty – Sporty Lip & Nail Duo

by Sarah

I’ve been eyeing the Michael Kors beauty products for some time now and I finally got my hands on one of their Lip & Nail Duos. With these packs being from their spring/summer collection, I’m happy to announce they’re now on sale (details at the end of the post) so I thought I’d do a quick review in case you too would like to try them or stock up for gifts ;)

Michael Kors

Admittedly I’m really drawn to the packaging of Michael Kors beauty and fragrance line. The bottles are so chic and modern with the logo engraved onto the lids. Now that I got to try the products too, I’m actually quite impressed with the quality.

There are three different Lip & Nail duo packs – Sporty, Sexy & Glam (see below). Although I was tempted to purchase at least one more, I refrained and opted for this fuchsia lips/neon nails combo which is within their Sporty collection.

Michael Kors Lip Gloss – Prima Donna / Michael Kors Nail Lacquer – Limelight

Michael Kors
The Prima Donna lipgloss is a gorgeous shade of fuchsia laced with tiny purple, pink and silver shimmers. The wand has a sponge tip applicator and the formula glides on smoothly. It’s not too opaque, yet not overly sheer either so it definitely distributes enough color to wear on its own, or to layer over lipsticks for a beautiful shine. It’s slightly sticky but as with any sticky gloss, it lasts longer and wears off quite nicely – leaving a pink stained look on the lips.

Michael Kors
I guess my love for neon lime/green nail polish is still apparent :) There’s something about this color which exudes happy. This Limelight shade is not as bright neon as some other nail polishes I’ve tried but it has a nice balance of color without being too ‘glow in the dark’ if you know what I mean. The brush is a little thinner than I prefer but the formula is creamy and applies evenly. 2 coats gives a pretty good coverage and dries off to a glossy finish.

Michael Kors beauty line features lipsticks, lipglosses, bronzers and of course the fragrances. I did a post on designer cosmetics brands including the Michael Kors line HERE, if you’d like further details.

The Lip & Nail Duo packs are currently on special for $25 so if you’re looking to treat yourself or your vanity to some chic products or you’re looking for gift ideas, these packs are a great value ;)

so nice to see someone reviewed this duo! thanks a lot :)
do you have pictures of how the gloss looks when worn too? I’m curious, and haven’t found any picture online yet. would love to get it, but since i’m not exactly a lipgloss friend it’s a bit tricky to decide ;)

have a great day!

Hi Agnes, unfortunately I haven’t got a picture of the gloss on my lips as my sister snatched it off me shortly after my review :) however I can vouch for it being really pretty. It’s sheer enough to add a touch of color or you can layer it to get the deep pink to stand out. It’s also great to wear over other lipsticks as the subtle sparkles look really nice. Just for the packaging alone, this set makes me smile :) Hope that makes your decision a little easier xx
