Are we all eyeshadow’ed out yet? Apparently not :)
Some of you may remember, MAC had released two “15-color” eyeshadow palettes last year, one was cool toned, the other was warm toned.Β I actually bought the warm palette and did a review/swatches post here.
Now MAC has launched four “9-color” eyeshadow palettes, as part of theirΒ permanent collection. Featuring some of their most popular eyeshadows, these palettes are grouped into different color families. Β With a variety ofΒ finishes including mattes, velvets and frosts, these palettes are designed to satisfy all your eyeshadow needs.
9-color palettes are $40 each and 15-color palettes are $85 each. ConsideringΒ the price of individual MAC shadows and quality of MAC eyeshadows in general, these work out to be great value for money. *The palettes are currently available at Nordstrom and Macy’s and will be available everywhere else as of March 5th.

As much as I adore high-pigment eyeshadows, I always have a soft spot for MAC shadows as they’re designed to be built-up. This gives better control of color and makes the blending process smoother too. I’m very pleased with my 15-color Warm Neutrals palette so if you’re after a smaller group of eyeshadows within your favorite color family, the 9-color palettes are a convenient option to add to your collection.

I’m really tempted to snatch a palette from this collection… But I’d think I’d rather buy a palette from Too Faced. The chocolate bar or the new matte palette that is being released this spring/summer (really excited to swatch this new palette hahaha)! :)

Hi Jessy, I know what you mean. There are so many options and they all have something appealing about them. I have the 15-color warm palette from MAC and love it but I also love the versatility (and the delicious smell) of the Chocolate Bar palette. I’m sure there will be many more releases to come..decisions decisions lol :))
Hahaha exactly!! :D have you seen the Natural matte palette from Too Faced for their Summer collection? It is just beautifullll! It’s going to be my next purchase, no doubt!! ;)
Yes!! I’ve seen the new Too Faced palette, I could be testing it out this week and will post an update if I do ;) It looks really nice though, one can never have enough mattes…or makeup…all sorts of makeup :)))
