You know when you love the color of a makeup product so much, and you wish you could have other products in the same shade?
Well, now you can!
MAC took their best selling lipsticks; put them in monochromatic capsule collections and they all look divine!

I’m sure MAC fans can name the 6 iconic lipsticks which inspired this collection just by looking at the picture above, but they are:
Velvet Teddy, See Sheer, Diva, Heroine, Ruby Woo and Candy Yum-Yum.
These lipsticks have been staples within MAC’s permanent lipstick range; and their unique, universal colors have adorned the lips of many since their release.
Now they have their own monochromatic collections; each featuring the lipstick itself, as well as 5 additional products in the same shade – including 1x lip gloss, 1x blush, 2x eyeshadows (matte & shimmer) and 1x glitter
VELVET TEDDY
I owe it to this lipstick to make it first on the list because Velvet Teddy is possibly the highest selling lipstick color of all time.
With its matte finish and perfect warm nude shade, this particular collection is the one I’m drooling over the most. Sur blush and that rich rustic frosty eyeshadow that is Dear Teddy…I’m totally sold!
Velvet Teddy Collection
SEE SHEER
If soft airy hues of corals and “grapefruit pink” (as MAC calls it) is more your thing, then See Sheer collection has your name on it.
The lipstick itself is lustre finish which is a soft wash of color; and combined with the rest of the products, this set would be perfect for creating those fresh spring/summer looks.
See Sheer Collection
DIVA
The rich reddish burgundy shade of Diva demands attention and it’s easy to understand why.
Thanks to the collection, there are plenty of other options to use this gorgeous color all over the face, especially looking stunning on deep/dark skin tones.
Diva Collection
HEROINE
I remember when Heroine was first launched and the hype it created due to its “then” unusual hue of purple.
There’s something rebelliously nostalgic about purple and this collection carries that mood through in all the featured products. And how gorgeous is that glitter!
Heroine Collection
RUBY WOO
Aaaahhh Ruby Woo…the classic MAC must-have making it the most talked about red lipstick since its release many many years ago.
Although wearing all the products all at once (as they’re monochromatically intended) may not be everyone’s ideal look, each of the products are perfect to add a pop of color when used with other color combinations.
Ruby Woo Collection
CANDY YUM-YUM
Rightly named, this Barbie pink lipstick with a splash of bubblegum is delicious to say the least.
This is also the only collection within this line to feature 2 blushes instead of 2 eyeshadows. Granted, one blush is a satin finish, and the other is a matte, but the size of the matte blush is a mini…which looks like an eyeshadow? I’m a bit confused as to why MAC opted for this combo.
Nevertheless, if you love your bright colors in makeup, the Candy Yum-Yum collection (just for the name alone) could be your new-found favorite.
Candy Yum-Yum Collection
MAC in Monochrome Collections are limited edition and the products range from $17 – $24 each; now available on MAC website
Nordstrom is also stocking the collections and you can check out their stock range online HERE or in-store.
Which of MAC’s classic products do you own? What do you think of the Monochrome collections?
