Lancome Grandiose aka ‘the swan neck mascara’ is finally here!! What is it? What does it do and why is there such a hype surrounding it? Let me explain :)
As most of you know, I’m a huge mascara fan, particularly Lancome mascaras – you can check out my Hypnose Drama mascara review HERE. So when Lancome says they have a revolutionary mascara, I take note.
The new addition to Lancome’s mascara family is the Grandiose. Having taken many years of research and development, the most prominent feature of this mascara is the unusual ‘swan neck’ brush. Ergonomically designed, the positioning of this brush against the lashes gives the user full support and control of the handle, enabling the lashes to be pushed upwards creating curl as well as distributing plenty of product building up volume. It’s also designed to reach the tiniest lashes in the corners, and make application on both eyes a breeze without the worry of smudging or awkward positioning of the wand.
The brush bristles are also designed to separate and coat each lash. The sharper longer bristles help to comb through the lashes to avoid clumping whilst the shorter bristles add on more product and build volume.
And then there’s the design of the bottle. It is so pretty!! The tube itself is curvy and larger than the standard mascara tubes, to case the swan neck brush. The handle fades from black to grey to a clear tip with the Lancome rose imprinted in the middle. It’s like a crystal jewel – definitely one to display on a vanity.
Lancome Grandiose mascara has been out in the UK for a few weeks now but only just released on the Lancome US site today. It retails at $32 and can be purchased HERE. I will update this post and add more store links as the mascara is released in other stores in the next couple of weeks ;)
