Hi beauties, today I want to chat to you about Korres and do a review of some of my favourite products from the line.

From their packaging to their ingredients and most importantly company ethics, Korres has been one of those brands I’ve always admired. They definitely deserve all the praise and coverage possible for their amazing products.

Korres is a Greek brand which was officially started by Lena and George Korres in 1996.  Having pharmacy and chemical engineering backgrounds, the couple delved into studying the best of natural ingredients Greek flora had to offer.

With ethical values, bringing products to consumers in their most pure and natural form in clean modern packaging, the company expanded their range with skincare – face & body, suncare, makeup, nails, hair and fragrance.  There are so many incredible products to mention, so for those of you who’d like to get more information on the full range of Korres products, please visit their site here:  www.korres.com  List of stores where you can check out Korres products are at the end of the post ;)

Of course being such a makeup fan, I did a review of my Korres makeup collection for this post. Enjoy! xx

Korres Review

Korres lip balms have the most beautiful consistency and glide over the lips like silk! They’re very moisturising and don’t dry out like most lip balms do.  The Lip Butter Glaze in the squeeze tube is more of a gloss consistency, whereas the Lip Butters in the pots are more solid but still melt into a soft glossy finish on the lips.  There are beautiful shades within this range, well worth a look.

The Lip Butter pot on the left and Lip Butter Glaze in the tube are the same color which is Jasmine.  It’s a soft beige pink and has a mild vanilla scent.

Lip Butter pot on the right is Pomegranate, mild fruity scent and an amazing hue of strawberry/coral shade

As per the picture, I have 3 of the Liquid Lipsticks and one from the Guava lipstick range.  I love the liquid lipsticks as that is exactly what they are: they look like lip gloss, in fact they have a wand applicator but they go on completely opaque and look like a moisturising lipstick. The Guava lipstick is a traditional wind-up lipstick, with great pigmentation. It is also extended-wear – meaning it’s long lasting.

Korres Liquid Lipsticks in #13 – soft rosy pink with shimmer; #25 – mid tone coral pink; #28 – gorgeous glossy fuschia red

Korres Guava Lipstick in #17 Pink – mid tone pink with red undertones; more sheer than the liquid lipsticks

Super soft and buildable, the Korres blushes contain Zea Mays powder, which is corn powder. They are finely milled to give a smooth and luminous finish to the cheeks.  The below two are within my favourite blush color range but the the line features gorgeous colors for fair and dark skin tones also.

Left: Korres Blush in #47 Orange Brown: bronze/orange shade which looks much darker in the pot; gives off a subtle shimmer

Right: Korres Blush in #18 Peach: a true peach shade with soft coral undertones

Korres brings out the cutest gift packs from time to time and I got this whole set in one of those gift pack specials.  Featuring a black eyeliner, black mascara and two mini eyeshadows, it’s practically all you need to create gorgeous eyes.  My only hang up is with the eyeshadows; the color payoff is not the best.  However, they are buildable and considering Korres products are free of nasty chemicals such as parabens, silicones, mineral oils and propylene glycol just to name a few, I’m happy to spend a bit of extra time to build the color.

Korres Lengthening HD Mascara in Black: contains Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran to nourish the lashes

Korres Soft Eyeliner Pencil in S1 Black: very smooth and easy to blend yet has great staying power; ideal for waterline.

Korres Eyeshadow – Left – #31 Bronze Brown – looks darker in the pot yet it’s almost the same shade as my NC3-35 skin tone when applied, if it wasn’t for the shimmer, it would probably disappear on me.

Korres Eyeshadow – Right – #36 Brun – looks like a rich chocolate brown in the pot but applies to a dark brown with shimmer

I recently got a tons of korres products and I have to say I love them! I use the foundation daily, I have the pressed powder and the loose powder which I use occasionally (a little too dark for me with out my summer tan) and the setting and illuminating powder. The blushes are so pretty and pigmented too! The only thing I don’t live is the illuminating powder, the color looks a little funny on me. Loved this post! It was fun to read up on the products because there aren’t many posts or reviews out there!

Hi Bianca, thank you for your feedback. Korres is definitely one of those underrated brands. They have a great line of skin and body care products too but I’m also a fan of their color cosmetics. Glad you’re enjoying them too :)
