Oh my!!! Just when I think we couldn’t possibly have any more amazing new release products, another company drops the bombshell. This post is all about Hourglass Cosmetics and their new Ambient Lighting Blush line.
For those of you who are not familiar with Hourglass products, the Ambient Lighting range has actually started with a line of powders. Some may call them finishing powders, some say they are highlighters but they’re actually somewhere in between. They’re designed on the basis of providing a subtle glow – as if a soft light is illuminating the face, blurring away imperfections and giving the skin a flawless airbrushed look. I’ve included the full range of these powders at the end of the post if you’d like to check them out.
Now, back to the new release blushes. The concept is combining swirls of the Ambient Lighting powders with color, creating a blush which provides the benefits of that “illuminating, healthy glowing” look. The line features 6 permanent shades and will be launched on the Hourglass Cosmetics site on January 24th, followed by stockist releases sometime in February. I will keep you posted on the release dates. Update: You can now purchase the blushes at Sephora HERE
And here’s a look at what started the Ambient Lighting concept…the original powder range, which you can purchase HERE
Ambient Lighting Powder is a groundbreaking collection of finishing powders that capture, diffuse, and soften the way light reflects on your skin.
Ethereal Light: A sheer, cool tone that eliminates shine and mimics a moonlit glow—even in broad daylight.
Diffused Light: A soft, warm, pale yellow that reduces redness, eliminates shine, and gives skin clarity.
Dim Light: A neutral soft beige that provides a perfect balance of warm and cool tones to blur imperfections.
Mood Light: A soft, sheer lavender pink that mimics the softest, most forgiving light and brightens the complexion.
Luminous Light: A champagne pearl that creates a soft, incandescent candlelit glow—day or night.
Radiant Light: A sun-kissed golden beige that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth.
What do you guys think of the Ambient Lighting range, especially the launch of the blush line?
