Game Face

by Sarah

Hi beauties! After indulging in the visual feast of Colourpop Super Shock shadows (review and swatches here), I’ve started to experiment with them creating different color combos and looks.

One of the colors which intrigued me the most was Game Face which is a bright metallic copper. The intensity of this shadow was so amazing that I knew it was the first on my list to use for a look. Being such a vibrant shade, I felt it’s best to do a classic eye with plenty of black liner thrown in there for added contrast. This is what I came up with…

Colourpop Super Shock shadows in: Game Face, Mittens, Mooning

As I’d mentioned in my Colourpop review, it’s best to apply these shadows with fingers and then buff out with a blending brush. It’s exactly what I did when creating this look. I dabbed on Game Face (copper) on the inner half of my eyes, Mittens – which is the warm satin brown, on the outer half and blended with my Real Techniques buffing brush. Once the Mitten color was diffused, I went in with Mooning – which is a deeper shimmer brown to build intensity. I repeated this process until I was happy with the depth of color. Once I completed the look, I dabbed an extra layer of Game Face on the inner half of the eyes. I really wanted the vibrancy of this color to come through.

I finished with lining my top and bottom lash line including inner rim, with Tarte’s new Tarteist Clay Paint Liner (review here) and plenty of black mascara.

This combo would look amazing for a night time glam look especially with a classic black dress. Game Face is such an intense color which demands attention, it could basically pass of as accessory on your eyes.

I will continue to post different looks with the Colourpop shadows as I create them :)

What do you guys think? xx
