There’s nothing like a good blush, bronzer or highlighter to boost a dull, tired looking skin – as well as the mood we may be in :) What separates a healthy, glowing finish from a muddy, orange disaster is the subtle color and texture of such products.
The products I’ve listed below provide a very natural look and come in many different shades too, depending on your skin tone and color preference. As mentioned in my previous post about Favourite Base products – here, I will be doing a separate drugstore-only product list in the near future ;)
Contour: NARS Laguna Bronzer: Amongst the many contouring products I use (on either myself or my clients), this NARS Laguna bronzer has been my go-to product for years. The shade is very toned down – it’s not orange and it’s not too muddy. What I love the most about it is the matte finish it provides and blends very easily too. You also get quite a bit of product which is an added bonus.
Color: Laura Mercier Golden Mosaic: I’m a huge fan of multi purpose products and I’ve been in love with this bronzer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow compact ever since I purchased it. It comes in different shades too, if you prefer pink, peach or lighter gold’ish tones. This particular shade is a bronze/peach/gold combo. Mixed together, it gives an amazing sheen to the cheeks, or you can use the colors separately as blush or even eyeshadow. Great quality!
Blush: MAC Powder Blush in Margin: MAC makes some of the most amazing blush colors, but this shade Margin is one that I have to have in my stash at all times. It’s a subtle pink peach with hints of shimmer, and especially worn above a contour or bronze shade, it lifts up the cheek bones instantly.
Highlighter: MAC Powder Blush in Gold Trace: There are so many amazing highlighting products but if you prefer your makeup – especially daily makeup, on the natural side like I do, this blush by MAC will be your best friend. Although the name says gold, it’s actually a beautiful beige/nude and the very finely milled shimmer is what makes this product leave a subtle shimmer on the skin – highly recommend it ;)
