Too Faced Semi Sweet Spring Collection 2015

by Sarah

Too Faced Cosmetics recently launched their Semi Sweet range for spring so what better way to add some new gift ideas to the shopping list! Along with a new version of their very popular Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette, they also launched 8 new Melted lipstick shades which are by far my favorite liquid lipsticks to date!

Some items are available in stores, others are available on the Too Faced website so I linked them below accordingly ;)

Compared to the original Chocolate Bar palette, the Semi Sweet eyeshadow palette prominently has warmer gold/bronze shades. Featuring 16 colors with a blend of matte and shimmer finishes, the eyeshadows are infused with Too Faced’s famous cocoa powder. If you’re after a warm neutral palette to carry you into the summer months with that glowing bronze look, this palette would be perfect for you.

I’m so happy to see more colors are added to this amazing line of liquid lipsticks. I did 2 separate review posts featuring some of my favorite shades from the existing range HERE and HERE so I’m excited to get my hands on some of these new additions.

Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Extreme KitLast of the Spring Collection is a mascara set. You may have seen these type of instant false lash effect mascaras as many brands have launched them and continue to do so.

One of the tubes contains lash building fibres (the white fluff you see on the smaller mascara wand). You first apply the regular black mascara, before it fully dries, you then sweep the cotton like fibres on top which adheres to the mascara. As the last step, you go back in with the regular black mascara and coat over the fibres.

What they’re supposed to do is build thickness and volume but personally I’ve never been a fan of these type of mascaras. I find it’s way too many steps and I’d rather find a regular mascara which gives me what I need – check out my favorite mascara review HERE, apply a pair of false lashes which takes me seconds, or use my powder trick to build instant volume – tutorial HERE

I’m eyeing a few of the new melted lipsticks; Do you guys have any favorites from this collection? xx

I’ve been in two minds about the eyeshadow palette. I have the first one and I can’t decide if I want this too. It just looks sooo pretty!!!

Hi Diana, I know what you mean. Everything looks so pretty. If you don’t have any other palettes such as Urban Decay Naked range which feature a lot of these bronze/gold/caramel tones, then this palette would make a good duo with the previous chocolate palette. That way you can have both cool and warm shades and there are plenty of matte colors in both palettes to carry you through. Hope that helps ;) xx
