Could we have a wardrobe of bronzers? That’s the million dollar question today and according to Too Faced…yes we can!
If you guys are following makeup trends, you probably notice that there are certain products people go absolutely crazy over. Too Faced bronzers have been talked about and obsessed over for some time, so when I came across this mini sample wardrobe of all their best selling bronzers, I had to see for myself what the hype was all about. Lets take a look, shall we…
Too Faced Bronzer Wardrobe contains 4 x 2.5g of their best selling bronzers and a mini brush. Renowned for containing real cocoa which gives these bronzers their delicious chocolate scent, this set is a great way to test out these famous bronzers.
And if like me, you swatched the full size many times in store but due to already having a wardrobe full of other bronzers at home, you held back from buying it, this is a perfect set to help you decide if you should invest in the full sizes.
Chocolate Soleil is a medium/deep shade matte bronzer. This is probably the most suitable one for my NC35 skin. I know most people use it as a contour product and that’s fine for everyday use to add some warmth and dimension but I feel it contains too much of a warm undertone to be a true contour product. As a matte bronzer however, it’s perfect!
Milk Chocolate Soleil is a light/medium shade matte bronzer. This was way too light for my skin and once I blended, it pretty much looked like a setting powder on me. So this would be more suitable for skin tones around MAC NC25 and lighter.
Endless Summer is a 16hr long wear bronzer. It’s slightly darker than Milk Chocolate Soleil but because it contains shimmer, it translates lighter when blended. It takes quite a few layers to show up as highlight on my skin so again, this would be great for lighter skin tones to add warmth with a bit of shimmer; or it would be great for darker/deeper skin tones as a subtle highlight.
Sun Bunny is a duo of light/dark shimmer bronzer. The peachy undertone of the lighter color gave my cheeks a healthy glow so this was more of a light blush for me than a coppery bronzer. The darker shade in the pan was my favorite out of the shimmer finish products as it had great color payoff and blended beautifully too.
The brush is average, the bristles are really soft but I only see myself using this brush if I take the whole set with me for convenience when I’m travelling.
I can only base this on what I feel worked well on my skin tone but in terms of pigmentation, color distribution and texture, Chocolate Soleil and the Sun Bunny compacts were definitely my favorites. I found Milk Chocolate Soleil and Endless Summer to be a little chalky but then again, that could be due to me layering the product to get it to show up on my skin.
Too Faced full size bronzers retail at $30 and this Bronzer Wardrobe is $22. So if you’ve been curious to try the Too Faced range of bronzers, this set makes a good trial kit, as well as a great gift for a loved one.
