BeautyProduct Reviews Cover FX Custom Cover Drops April 29, 2015 Imagine being able to turn your favorite daytime moisturizer into a foundation and adjust the coverage as you want. Or you like the way your primer makes your skin feel but wish it would provide some coverage so you didn’t have to layer on foundation on top. Or you’re happy with your everyday foundation but wish you could get it in a heavier coverage version for night time looks. Well, now you can do all that with today’s star product: Cover FX Custom Cover Drops Cover FX is a brand which specialises in base products – being foundation, concealer, powder and the likes. The brand is renowned for offering not only a wide variety of shades but they also take great pride in their products being free of parabens, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil and talc. Their latest release Custom Cover Drops is a highly concentrated pure pigment which is used to mix in with your favorite moisturizer, serum, face oil, primer etc to create your own base product. You can even mix it with your foundations to achieve heavier coverage. In other words…you can turn your favorite liquid products into tinted versions and you have full control of how much coverage you want. Custom Cover Drops in Shade G30 – perfect match for MAC’s NC30-35 color range Cover FX Custom Cover Drops comes in a 15ml/0.5 oz bottle with a squeezable dropper. Don’t let the size of the bottle fool you. When I mentioned this stuff was highly pigmented…I mean it’s VERY VERY pigmented. So you only need anywhere between 1-4 drops depending on the coverage you prefer. For the sake of the exercise, I only used 1 tiny drop for all the swatches below to show you it goes a long way 1 drop of Custom Cover Drop to blend into my daily moisturizer, mattifying silicone based primer and everyday foundation Other than the foundation (depending on the formula I use and how much I need), the amount of moisturizer and primer is how much I usually use per application. So I distributed the 1 drop of Custom Cover between these 3 products (*not 1 drop per product). 1 drop of Custom Cover distributed between the moisturizer, primer and foundation Here are my results: I can basically achieve a full face of sheer coverage moisturizer, sheer coverage primer or increase the coverage of my foundation with 1 (or less than 1 drop) of Custom Cover. It’s genius! Below is a guideline by Cover FX as to how you can adjust the coverage of your products, but again, as the name suggests this is a custom cover product so you have full control of your creations. You can use Custom Cover Drops with water, silicone and oil based products. Although it’s probably too concentrated to be used as a straight up foundation, you can definitely dab a tiny amount on problem areas for heavier coverage – almost like a concealer. Regardless of its high pigment content, the product feels light, doesn’t alter the wear or benefits of the base products – other than just adding coverage. Cover FX Custom Cover Drops retails at $44 and is available in 24 shades. What do you think beauties? Is this a product you’d like to add to your beauty routine? xx Cover FX Custom Cover Drops was last modified: July 9th, 2016 by Sarah 7 comments 0 Facebook Twitter Google + Pinterest Sarah previous post Colourpop Where The Light Is – KatleenLights Set next post Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette You may also like Lorac Pro 2 Palette June 3, 2014 Hmmm…Chanel & Bourjois June 27, 2013 Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette October 11, 2016 Game Face February 27, 2015 Tarte Cosmetics Newbies 2015 November 16, 2015 Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Nail Collection June 29, 2015 Real Techniques Magnet Brush Base February 4, 2014 MAC RiRi Hearts Summer Collection 2013 June 30, 2013 Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette December 22, 2015 Urban Decay Holiday 2014 New Releases September 15, 2014 7 comments Najwa Nawal Amin October 3, 2016 at 12:55 pm Just got mine G30, had tried with clinique cc cream with one drop cover drops, works very well. Had tried with coverfx primer and three drops cover drops also feels so light weight either. But I find that 2 drops of it could give me full coverage already and I can’t imagine myself with total 4 drops. Reply Sydney May 2, 2015 at 1:28 am I love this review!
