Cape Me Up!

by Sarah

Capes! They’ve been around for so long, going in and out of fashion but it’s only this year that they finally seem to get the recognition they always deserved.

Capes hit an all time high this year when Burberry sent their models down the runway, with their initials monogrammed on their color blocked capes. And then the celebrities followed suit. **I included some information down below, including where you can get your very own “Burberry inspired” cape at a fraction of the cost. Even if you get your initials monogrammed onto it, it’ll still be about $1400 cheaper than the Burberry version…and we’re all about getting the look for less ;)

As for today’s fashion set, I wanted to highlight the cosy casual feel of a cape and matched it with a pair of jeans, a graphic tee and suede boots. I love the accents of teal and dark blue which is just enough pop of color.

If you have any questions regarding the pieces in this set, please leave a message in the comments section below ;) xx

And here’s the much talked about Burberry monogram cape on celebrities…and where you can get your very own inspired cape – currently on special for $39.99 which is an absolute steal!

I did pretty good finding an inspired piece right? :)) and you can see from the celeb pictures the many different ways you can pair up a cape with accessories, jeans and even shorts and boots.

What do you guys think of capes and ponchos? xx

They’re gorgeous! I have been eyeing a couple, but the last one you’ve featured is perfect. Thank you!

Hi Jeanette, I too love the blend of colors on the Burberry inspired cape. They did a great job of placing the colors in the exact same spots as the original too, I can’t complain :))
