Oh Becca Cosmetics! It’s one of those brands that I want to own the whole line of. I first fell in love with Becca products when I met their Shimmering Skin Perfector highlighters – in Opal and Topaz to be precise. I will be doing a more in-depth review on them in the future but I included swatches of them in a previous Illuminators & Highlighters post which you can check out HERE
It was my love of these highlighters which kept me going back and trying more of Becca’s other products and I haven’t parted from them since. Be it their gorgeous packaging, innovative multi purpose products or the concept of flawless glowing skin and neutral colors being the focal point, Becca products get a big thumbs up from me.
Today’s stars however are Becca’s line of tints: Beach Tints which double up as cheek and lip product and Eye Tint which is a cream based eyeshadow. *Scroll down for a Sephora limited edition deal on these tints, not to be missed! ;)
Beach Tints are light weight creme formulations which add a hint of color to the cheeks and lips. They’re water resistant and long lasting. They’re sheer and subtle on their own but can also be worn under powder blush or lipsticks to intensify the color and extend the wear of your lip and cheek products. There are eight gorgeous colors in the Beach Tints line and I have three of them: Grapefruit – pale coral pink; Guava – bright coral pink; Watermelon – bright pink
I find fingers are the best way to apply and blend the Beach Tints both on the cheeks and the lips. They don’t stain or dry up as quickly as some other tints (eg: Benefit’s Benetint); so they’re quite easy to work with.
Eye Tints are also cream formulations which are long wearing and crease proof so you can either wear them as a wash of color over the lids or use them as a base primer to layer other eyeshadows over them. Again, easiest way to apply the Eye Tints is with fingers. Once you deposit the color on the eyelids, a small fluffy blending brush works beautifully to diffuse the product. There are four gorgeous neutral Eye Tint colors and I have the darkest shade which is Gilt – a dark shimmering bronze/brown which I love!
